The European automotive community has already been taking various secure steps in this regard to ensure ‘firewalls' exist between different connected functions but now the association is coming together behind the same six shared principles:
- Cultivating a cybersecurity culture;
- Adopting a cybersecurity life cycle for vehicle development;
- Assessing security functions through testing phases;
- Managing a security update policy;
- Providing incident response and recovery; and
- Improving information sharing amongst industry actors.
Észrevették végre, hogy az autó egy bonyolult informatikai eszköz, és ennek megfelelően kell bánni a szoftverével! A hat pontjukban semmi érdekes nem lenne, ha az informatikáról lenne szó. Ott már mindenki tudja, hogy így kell dolgozni. Persze, nem mindenki akar így dolgozni, és azok közül, akik akarnak, sem mindenkinek sikerül.
